When asked to interpret the order that prescribes that the day and night rest time in residential and residential-commercial buildings on the territory of the city of Novi Sad is from 4 to 5 hours the next day, the mayor of Novi Sad Miloš Vučević emphasized that the measure refers to a ban on parties.
“That order means that parties and gatherings in the apartments are prohibited, and no vacuuming or washing clothes,” Vučević said.
This order in the previous days brought much confusion and controversy among citizens, who realized that in the span of 4 p.m. to 5 a.m. the next day, they will not be allowed to turn on the vacuum cleaner, washing machines, dishes and the like, writes Sputnik .
“There is no need to introduce an emergency situation in Novi Sad, because the measures and orders that are in force are more stringent than they would be in an emergency situation,” Vucevic said.
The only thing that would change the emergency situation, he explained, would refer to the mayor’s greater powers, and all the measures that would have been valid then are valid now, as well as the restoration measures that now work until 9:00 p.m.
Four new orders from two days ago, introduced due to the worsening epidemiological situation in Novi Sad, concern the work of shops and other commercial activities, the work of taxi drivers, catering facilities and house rules in the residential buildings.
In all catering facilities, gardens and other facilities where goods are sold and services are provided, tables must be arranged in such a way as to provide a distance of at least two meters between tables, with no more than four people at a table, to less than on members of the same family.
Nightclubs are required to allow entry to the nightclub only with the sale / distribution of tickets numbered from 1 to the allowed number of people who can be present in the facility at the same time.
The order also prohibits the consumption of food and beverages in front of restaurants where food is sold over the counter.
Commercial entities that carry out activities in commercial activities are obliged to limit the number of people who can be present in the facility at the same time so that one person can be present for every four square meters.
Under the new order, taxi drivers and users are obliged to wear protective masks when providing taxi transport services in the Novi Sad territory, provided that users of the service cannot use the front seat in a taxi vehicle.
