According to the information we have, in the early hours, yesterday there were about 10 reports of passengers returning from countries where a large number are infected with the crown, said Dr. Darija Kisić Tepavčević.
She evaluated that it shows how responsible, conscientious we are and how seriously we take the situation.
– In the previous day, we have 4,500 applications on the portal. This is a significant number, we hope it will continue in the future because it speaks of the level of awareness and importance that citizens know to have in the fight against the virus – said Kisić Tepavčević.
The new decision, which applies from Friday at 6 p.m., refers to Serbian citizens returning from countries where a large number of people are infected with the corona virus must register in the system, based on the first information, and if they present any of the symptoms. Viruses are required to go to the kovid clinic.
Dr. Kisić Tepavčević, as a guest on the Prva television morning show, on the occasion of the new measure that came into force yesterday, again explained how the whole system works.
-The application is made electronically and the self-assessment questionnaire is completed with the application. It is a short procedure of up to five minutes, where you will obtain basic information about the prevention method, and they will also inform you about the obligation to repeat the process within 10 days of entering the country. If you have symptoms of a respiratory infection, you are obliged to report it to the Kovid clinic. There is no other reason to report to the ambulance, everything is done electronically – he pointed out.
If there are ambiguities, citizens can contact the institutes and institutes that are available to explain the procedures. Upon entering Serbia, citizens are given detailed instructions on the procedure that awaits them.
– In the first place, it refers to citizens who come from countries where the epidemiological situation is worse than in our country. What we have said many times are the countries where the largest number of our citizens are located, Montenegro, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, but that is practically true for all countries – said Dr. Kisić Tepavčević.
According to data from the European Center for Disease Control, Dr. Kisić Tepavčević said that the risk of infection is 25 times higher in Montenegro than in our country, while in Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina the risk is between five and 10 percent.
He also referred to the criminal policy if this measure is not respected, but also pointed out that now it is not a priority.
– The state has a legally regulated way to sanction people who do not behave in accordance with preventive activities. But no one should think that way. Isn’t it the greatest punishment for someone to get sick? The fine and penalty is defined, but that is not the intention, we do not emphasize that. We must act responsibly and conscientiously. It is always certain that there are people in every population who want to ignore the measures – emphasized Dr. Kisić Tepavčević.
He also said that the image that our population was irresponsible bothered him.
– It bothers me that we speak of our citizens as a population that must be sanctioned to respect the measures. That is not the case. We are aware and responsible, we also have data that indicates this. I also want to praise the students, the teachers who do their jobs conscientiously. We have sporadic cases but the situation is under control. Our population behaves responsibly and we hope to show by example how we can fight the virus – explained Dr. Kisić Tepavčević.
As she said, it is not true that there are no confirmed cases in high school.
– Yesterday the data was published for weeks. Last week there were two students in total, and this week three or four. There are sporadic cases, but the classes are organized in such a way that the risk of transmission is minimal – she said, adding that the return of students to universities is a risk, but that all necessary measures have been taken to minimize it.
He pointed out that he will get vaccinated against flu as well as kovid when we get the vaccine.
– Like every year, yes, I will be vaccinated. The vaccine for kovid is eagerly awaited, and yes, I would get vaccinated – said Kisić Tepavčević.
