Despite previous announcements that the composition of the government will be known by the end of September, there is a possibility that the new cabinet in Nemanjina 11 will be formed only during October, more precisely in the middle of that month, Kurir has learned.
The reason for the possible postponement is pressure from smaller coalition partners, but also the announced new round of negotiations between Belgrade and Pristina for the end of September in Brussels.
It’s getting bigger
– Nothing is excluded, not even the extension of the formation of the government announced for the end of September. As the deadline for government formation approached, some SNS coalition partners were pushing for the desired department or number of seats in the new government. There are also negotiations in Brussels, a lot of things suddenly coincided and takes time to resolve, so there is an option to postpone the creation of a new team for Nemanjina for a certain period of time – says a source in Kurir and adds:

– This thesis is supported by the fact that the expected meeting between Vučić and the leader of the Socialists Ivica Dačić did not take place, but also that the sessions of the Presidency and the Board of Directors of the SNS have not yet been held, and they will precede the formation of the new government.

Yesterday, the Minister of Defense and head of the Socialist Movement, Aleksandar Vulin, confirmed that Vučić is under great pressure from the coalition partners to form a new government.
– There is a lot of appetite. There are many people who want to get more than they deserve. The Socialist Movement is not seeking a ministerial position. I, Aleksandar Vulin, do not claim to be a government minister. If the staff needs to change, if people expect changes, and they expect changes, let them start with me – said Vulin, adding that he would deal with writing and journalism.
Unrealistic expectations
Dacic said yesterday that the decision to form a government has not yet been made.
– That decision has not yet been made and in the meantime nothing new has happened to manage my mood – said Dacic and added:
– Now we have the arrival of DFC. I’m sure that will be the central theme of this week. In any case, given the deadlines, the government formation process is not in question at all.

Bojan Klačar, CEO of Cesid, says that the public has limited access to information at all times, and that apart from the first meetings that were in front of the public, we don’t know anything else.
– However, I think that negotiations with the partners on the names have been going on for a long time, but Vučić and the nearest address of the SNS have the correct information. As the end of September seemed certain, it is now October. I don’t know how long, mid-October would be late, considering that we immediately knew how things were (after the elections) – said Klačar.

Milos Vucevic, the former mayor of Novi Sad, but also the man whose name was the center of attention for the post of prime minister, was again elected to the position he held yesterday, in the session of the City Assembly.
The Speaker of the Novi Sad City Assembly, Jelena Marinković Radomirović, said, among other things, that yesterday would be marked as a significant event because the same person was elected mayor for the third time.
