By order of the Organized Crime Prosecutor’s Office, four suspects were arrested last night for robbing the “Breguet” jewelry store in Dusseldorf on December 14, during which they stole valuables worth around one million euros.
NS (47), NB (52), AJ (51) from Belgrade and S. Š. They were arrested. (51) from Valjevo on suspicion that as a criminal group organized from December 14 to 21 in Dusseldorf, (Germany) and in Belgrade, they committed criminal acts of association with the purpose of committing criminal acts, theft and cover-up, the prosecution announced.
During the search for the suspects, the police found and temporarily confiscated 41 watches and a bracelet of the brand “Breguet”, which are suspected of being the subject of a criminal act committed on the territory of the European Union.
Robbery in Dusseldorf
On December 14, the Dusseldorf police received a report at 9:56 that a jewelry store had been robbed in that city. Within minutes, they were at the scene, and the thieves had largely fled …
The first data indicated that the robbers stole several watches worth around one million euros by breaking the window with a car and “flying” to the premises.
– The robbery was like lightning, and there is no doubt that it is the work of professionals – said a policeman, according to the portal “express.de”.
The robbers fled the scene in the same car, and then, according to information obtained by the German police very quickly, they replaced the quad with motorcycles. A large number of police officers, including police helicopters, participated in the search for them …
A silver car was soon found, which they first used to flee, but it was determined that it had Celtic license plates, stolen from another vehicle. Police believe that, like the license plate, the car used during the escape was also stolen.
The day after the robbery, the police conducted another investigation, collecting clues that could lead to the thieves, with the help of a search dog.
The German media write that it is a very luxurious jewelery whose pieces of jewelery and watches cost tens of thousands of euros. For example, a women’s watch, which was displayed in a window with Christmas decorations a few days before the robbery, cost an incredible 131,000 euros. After the robbery, the media write, only the price remained in the shop window.
