A girl (15) injured in yesterday’s fire in Dorcol is being treated at the Clinic for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery on Zvečanka Street in Belgrade.

According to doctors at this institution, he is still in serious condition and will almost certainly need a skin transplant.

“The burns are deep and affect approximately 47% of the skin,” says Dr. Ljiljana Jovanović, a surgeon at this clinic.

“It is important that he is now in a stable hemodynamic state and we are planning the first operation. Our estimates are that several interventions will be needed to repair the injuries as much as possible,” added Dr. Ljiljana Jovanović.

The fire broke out yesterday in the apartment on the 10th floor of the building on Visokog Stevana Street in Dorcol. Brave painters who saw the unfortunate girl on the terrace came to her aid and saved her, after which she was transferred to the Emergency Center for her diagnosis, from where she was later transferred to the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Clinic.
