According to him, Russia will remain an important factor when it comes to energy. He states that the European Union, on the basis of the Berlin Process, tried to invest in interconnection, as well as in connection with the European Union, through investments in the Western Balkan countries, but as he points out, “so far no we’ve seen great effects. “
“Other actors in the region that have projects in the region remain important, and certainly the European Union needs to address this issue in a meaningful way in the future to remain the most dominant actor in the region,” Burazer said.

This is because no country meets the most important conditions in regarding the rule of law, democracy, willingness and ability to adhere and in that sense there is a huge ‘window’ that other actors can use for their own interests, “he says, adding that in such a situation the EU will try to link” the countries in our region to itself through other mechanisms. “
It specifies that this could be achieved through the new EU methodology, but cautions that it is not yet clear how exactly it will be.
