The topic of discussion would be the situation created after the accusations from specialized cameras were presented, reports Koha.

This political party, whose leader is Ramush Haradinaj, said, after an emergency meeting of the party leadership, that the government should immediately stop all activities related to the dialogue process with Serbia.

An emergency meeting of the Kosovo Security Council on the general security situation, an extraordinary session in the Kosovo Assembly in support of the KLA’s values and a meeting of the entire political spectrum was called for to find national unity in the face of challenges. political and constitutional.

“The Alliance for the Future of Kosovo is following with concern the events following the accusations of the Special Chambers for the ex-combatants of the Kosovo Liberation Army. The ABK believes in justice, a just war in Kosovo and the innocence of the fighters of the KLA. The KLA war was a war of liberation and defense against Serbian crime and genocide. Rule and its purity will be tested so many times before, “they say from ABK.

“Kurti’s possible return to power”

Diplomat Zoran Milivojevic predicts that the accusations against the leader of the so-called KLA will produce new political tensions in Kosovo and Metohija, and it is possible that in the case of new elections, the Self-Determination of Albin Kurti will return to power, which, as he warns , would enter a period of crisis and could not continue the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina.

Milivojevic believes that the confirmation of the accusations, first against Jakup Krasniqi and then against Hashim Thaci and Kadri Veselji, is “good news” because, as he claims, it confirms that a consensus has been reached in some centers of power that the court it must work and that the prosecution must provide sufficient arguments to make these accusations effective.

“It is also politically important to us because it shows that there has been a change in attitude in some centers of power in the West. “First of all, I have Washington in mind and that is a consequence of the process that the US administration has started in recent months, related to the resolution of the Kosovo problem,” Milivojevic said on behalf of Kosovo online.

However, he believes that the situation in Pristina is now new, which, he says, will lead to new political tensions because, after Thaci’s resignation, the question of the president opens.

“Once there are elections, and the other is that this team continues to function, with the government dominating, and that would mean in the West, which has the main influence in Pristina, that it was decided to maintain this government and not enter at the risk of new elections, but to allow the negotiation process to continue, ”says Milivojević.

If new elections are held, he believes that in that case all options are open.

“Create an opportunity for self-determination to return to power.” Some of the views they defend do not fit some Western power centers either. “We would enter a period of crisis and the dialogue could not continue,” he said.

He added that now the interests of certain politicians and political structures come to the fore when it comes to the office of president.

According to the Kosovo constitution, the role of president will be carried out by the speaker of the Kosovo parliament, Vjosa Osmani, but Milojevic points out that he does not have the support of the ruling political parties, especially the LDK, due to his connection to self-determination.

He estimates that the best scenario would be to reach a consensus of political parties and elect someone with whom the ruling political parties agree.

“Strong political blow for Pristina”

Pristina TV journalist Klan Idriz Seferaj believes that the indictment against Kosovo President Hashim Thaci is a strong political blow for Pristina because, as he says, the president is accused of war crimes, but does not expect great tensions in society there. Seferaj believes that this situation will not significantly affect the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina and that it will continue, because, as he said, the US and the EU will not allow this process to be connected to any name.

“It can be expected that people like Thaci can have a stronger and more influential influence on some solutions in the dialogue itself, but the dialogue will continue without major obstacles. The international community will soon insist on that,” Seferaj concluded.

Seferaj says that the court was expected to present some accusations and that it is obvious that “lately they have been treating this issue with a little more intensity.”

That court, he explains, cannot be stopped and is going full blast to work harder and harder.

However, as he himself says, the atmosphere in Kosovo is not such that there are some protests and great unrest about it, and that, after all, Thaci himself called on citizens not to announce judicial decisions but to wait for decisions and cooperate with that institution.

As he explains, the election of the new president of Pristina’s temporary institutions was supposed to occur next year, but it remains to be seen in which direction everything will go.

When asked what domestic political consequences this could have in Pristina, Seferaj said that the conditions for the snap elections in Kosovo and Metohija have already been met.

This situation has weakened not only the position of the Kosovo president, but also the internal situation, which, incidentally, has been that way for a long time.

He claims that there will be more and more attacks from the opposition on the Pristina government and, at the same time, it is to be expected that the opposition will demand elections.

“Hashim Thaci and Kadri Veselji as people who fought are not the same as Hashim Thaci and Kadri Veselji as politicians. In Kosovo they were seen as politicians and that’s why the atmosphere in Kosovo is not as tense now. It’s just that some people couldn’t. hope that he should go and express his ambitions for the post of president of Kosovo ”, Seferaj estimates.

When asked who will now inherit the most powerful political position in Pristina, he said that it is now difficult to specify who is the strongest political figure in Kosovo and Metohija, because, as he explains, there are unidentified charges such as Vjosa Osmani, who is no longer part of the Democratic Alliance.

“We also have a new figure of Avdulah Hoti, who was placed there more or less as a technician, but due to the negotiations with Serbia and the appearance in public, he received some support from the citizens. Haradinaj is also there. Certainly, the next elections in Kosovo will be the most important and they will lead – it is a great battle for power, “says Seferaj.
