In the narrow center of Zlatibor, four underground garages will be built in three locations which, following the introduction of the traffic ban in King’s Square, will solve the problem of lack of parking spaces. At the same time, a residential and commercial complex is being built on this Serbian mountain, on the site of the old main bus station.

The new garages will also be located near the bus station, near the Student Resort “Ratko Mitrović” and in Obudojevica at the gondola departure station.

As Milan Stamatović, president of the municipality of Čajetina, says for “Blic”, two underground garages near the gondola, intended for the visitors of this attraction, will be built with funds from the municipal budget.

– At the same time, along one side of the street above the gondola start station, an open parking lot will be made and the other will be built near the sewage treatment plant. This year, the municipality has already opened 200 new parking spaces in the tourist center of Zlatibor, explains Stamatović.

Private equity will be invested in the two remaining underground garages. At the bus station, which will soon be relocated, the construction of a residential-commercial complex has begun, which will have its own underground garages, while a similar facility will be built at the Student Resort and will have underground garages on four levels.

In Zlatibor, there is already a private underground garage on two levels, located in the shopping center, and its capacity is 200 parking spaces.
