Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabi said today that she sent a response to the recent report by the Freedom House organization for 2020.

According to the report, Serbia was relegated from the category of “partially consolidated democracies” to the category of “hybrid regimes”.

Brnabieva told RTS that, as Prime Minister, she sent a “studious 18-page response” to that report, which she assessed was “full of contradictions and the subjective approach of a person who wrote it is obvious.”

“I am surprised that the Freedom House organization does not have a team of experts to write reports, but only one person. That report does not reflect the real situation in Serbia,” said Brnabieva.

He said the Serbian government would announce its response tomorrow Thursday, which the government “approached with study.”

However, he added that the Government will adopt some observations from the Freedom House report.

Brnabieva said she sent the response to Freedom House, in reaction to the report, on behalf of the Serbian government, “that we have a dialogue on how to improve things in Serbia.”
