The mayor of Kraljevo, Predrag Terzi, affirmed that the fight against Covid 19 involves the joint work of the republican authorities and local self-governments, and valued that that is why the Prime Minister’s call must be taken seriously.
The mayor of Kraljevo, Predrag Terzi, affirmed that the fight against Covid 19 implies the joint work of the republican authorities and local self-governments, and appreciated that that is why the Prime Minister’s call must be taken seriously.
Terzi stated for Tanjug that it is necessary for everyone to get involved together in order to reduce the possibility of the spread of the corona virus and the number of infected people in each city and municipality of Serbia.
During the month of June, there were a large number of people in the territory of the city of Kraljevo who were infected with the Covid 19 virus, Terzi recalled, adding that the health system in that city was overwhelmed at that time.
“However, with the implementation of all epidemiological measures, control of implementation by the health inspection, communal militia, there has been a decrease so that in the last month we have one to two new people infected daily, and there are many days when we don’t have infected people. ” said the mayor of Kraljevo.
It is even more important, Terzi points out, that these are minor cases so that the Kraljevo health system is not overloaded now, that is, there are a large number of free beds in the hospital.
“It is very important that we all work together and in that sense we must take seriously the Prime Minister’s appeal to mayors and municipal presidents,” he stressed.
As for the implementation of measures, as Terzi said, the city administration is trying to implement all epidemiological measures, and the Department of Inspection Affairs of the City Administration together with the Sanitary Inspection carry out checks every day.
So far, there have been complaints, mainly from catering companies that did not comply with the measures, Terzi says, adding that they first tried to ensure the implementation of the measures through warnings, but that over time they realized that the measures warnings were not working.
“Over time, when we realized that the warnings were not working, we began to chant and I believe that today the measures are being passed to a much greater extent than they were at the beginning of the epidemic,” Terzi said.
