Three and a half months after the elections, Serbia received a representative for the composition of the Government. The current prime minister will elect her cabinet for the first time, bearing in mind that she has so far presided over the ministers chosen by her predecessor, Aleksandar Vučić. Last night, the President of Serbia already said what the objectives of the new Government will be, although we should find out from the presentation that the Prime Minister will present to the members of the Serbian Parliament.
The choice of the prime minister appointed to the composition of the Serbian government does not surprise anyone. Ana Brnabić has been in charge of the Nemanjina 11 team for three years. During that time, she went from being a non-partisan expert to an SNS official.
H1 asked what concrete results Ana Brnabić has, who qualified her to elect her as Prime Minister.
“Ana Brnabić contributed a lot with her hard work, as someone who is at the head of the gross domestic product council, to make Serbia number one country at the moment, I helped her a little,” said Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić.
The president also recalled the results of the new prime minister, in whose understanding he did not help her, but only supported her.
“It is the export of our software and that the export part of our IT sector reaches a share of 5.9 percent of the total gross domestic product,” added Vucic.
And the president is not the only one who now claims that the prime minister got the results thanks to his help.
“By helping Ana reach her digitization goal, she really justified all expectations, and I would raise not one, but two hands for Ana Brnabić to be Prime Minister again,” says Governor of the National Bank of Serbia, Jorgovanka Tabaković .
One of the Prime Minister’s virtues mentioned by the President of Serbia caught the attention of analysts.
“I especially like this part that she did not flatter anyone except Aleksandar Vučić. She only flatters who should be flattered and she did it with a lot of perseverance and discipline, with enthusiasm and the result was not lacking.” analyst Djordje Vukadinovic thinks.
Ana Brnabić became a member of the Serbian Progressive Party only a year ago, but, as analysts claim, she quickly adopted a progressive pattern of behavior.
“Ana Brnabić and Aleksandar Vučić have almost the same level of arrogance and disagreeable treatment of journalists and the public. She completely adopted their way of communicating with the public. She became a prime minister full of scandals.” believes political scientist Boban Stojanović.
Many interpret the re-election of Ana Brnabić as head of the Serbian government as a possibility that in two years there will not only be presidential elections, but also early parliamentary elections.
“I believe that this government will not carry out the entire term. I believe that in 2022, Vučić will unite the elections. We will see if all presidential, municipal and parliamentary elections are like this,” said the editor of the Talas.rs portal, Miloš Nikolić.
According to the president, the greatest challenges and pressures await Serbia regarding the recognition of Kosovo’s independence, and although the Prime Minister promised to go to Kosovo as a task in the first 100 days of work, three years later she did not fulfill that promise.
