The guests in the study are the Prime Minister of Serbia, Ana Brnabić, the singer Natasa Bekvalac and the epidemiologist, Dr. Branimir Nestorović.

At the beginning, Ana Brnabić spoke about the contamination.

I don’t think we are one of the most polluted cities. The question is how we measure it. We don’t have enough stations to measure that, it is only measured in black stations. The problem certainly exists and has been around for decades, we’ve been working on it since 2016. We fixed all the issues, including this one. An indicator of that is our work in the first months of government work, we installed a desulfurization plant in power plants – said Brnabić.

He also stated that there are serious chapters that are being worked on.

For me, there are three key chapters. One of them is Chapter 35, Belgrade-Pristina Relations, then Chapter 23, Rule of Law, and the most expensive chapter, Chapter 27, Environment. These are the key problems that we must overcome on the way to the EU. Other EU member states have not finished those chapters either, that process is underway and they are working on it, I suppose it will be the same with us – said Brnabić.

The prime minister added that those who most criticize the government did nothing for the state.

By the end of the year, we will put into operation three super chargers for electric cars in Corridor 10. We have budgeted another 21 and for Corridor 10 and the “Milos Veliki” highway. We want to encourage people to use electric cars – Brnabić explained.

As a pulmonologist, Nestorović also expressed his position on air pollution.

As a pulmonologist I have been dealing with this for a long time, it is a problem that we have had since we did the power plants, I did research in 2003/4 in Obrenovac. This problem dates back to when I was a child. Kolubara coal contains a high concentration of sulfur, but the gases that enter the body are also dangerous. You can put filters, but the filters will only filter particles. Power plants are made to feed us, but it doesn’t pay off in the long run from the treatment it causes. The leading cause of death is air pollution. According to some estimates, 6,000 people die from pollution in Serbia. That is 10% of all deaths in Serbia, followed by tobacco. said the doctor.

PROPOSAL NUMBER ONE

“In the middle of the crown – a great investment”

When asked by the journalist where Asia’s interest in building factories in Serbia was coming from, Prime Minister Ana Brnabić replied.

In general, there is interest in investing in Serbia. I don’t know which investor this is, we had the first one in Sabac. When I was in Japan, I saw that they knew a lot about Serbia, and the good news about Serbia is spreading rapidly in Japan. I have not seen any country register an influx of investors in the middle of the epidemic, I have also noticed that the people of Japan and Germany continue to invest in particular. We are talking about the most prudent investors, it is not a matter of speculation, but of people who follow everyone. This is fantastic news for Serbia. It would be even better if the year were normal, but this is still the crown of all the efforts we have made. I am very proud and this is something important that will attract more investment. – said Brnabić.

He responded to calls from the opposition that it was a “dirty industry” in the following way.

Japanese investors have their own standards that are much stricter than the standards of other countries. I am sure that this project will respect the highest environmental standards. In addition, you have people who one day criticize you for building parks and small hydroelectric plants, without, and the next day they criticize thermal power plants. – Brnabić stressed.

Branimir Nestorović distanced himself from this issue, building a tire factory, saying he did not know the details about it.

You may not be the right partner. I don’t know the details about it, except that the tires are considered dirty technology. However, on the other hand, he would invest a lot of money in Serbian agriculture. The price of food in the world is increasing, faster than gold. I would like to be a great power, we could feed half of Europe, because small households can be a white thing. Mirko companies can employ large numbers of people and are environmentally friendly. – Nestorović explained.

The Prime Minister agreed with him.

We set out to manufacture automatic anti-hail systems. We want to export food. We help beekeepers build a honey collection plant so they are not dependent on people buying honey. The price of honey has risen 200 percent, everything is exported, these are huge prices, but it is the most concrete example of what we are doing for our economy.– Ana Brnabić pointed out.

Nataša Bekvalac

Natasa Bekvalac claimed that in this case, she is a local patriot and is happy that the factory is in Indjija.

I am glad that the factory is in Vojvodina. Indjija has fewer than 50,000 residents. Glad there will be 500,600 new jobs in the future – Bekvalac explained, to which Brnabić jokingly told her that the chocolate factory would make her happy.

Brnabic noted that important things happened last week.

We spend the whole week behind us on big projects. We had four important things, the opening of the Kovid hospital in Kruševac, which will then remain with the Kruševac people for all other treatments, thus setting a standard for how we will work in the future. Another great thing is the tire factory in Indjija, then the opening of the Data Center in Kragujevac, the most modern data bank. We have signed a contract with an American company, but also “Huaweim”, which will store data with us. The fourth major event is the return of Stefan Milenković to Serbia.
