“The SNS made a decision immediately after the elections to certainly invite national minorities to form a government with us, we will see on Sunday when it proposes whether it will be a rally or not,” said the future designated prime minister.
It will be a coalition government, in which the SPS and SPAS will participate, he added.
“We absolutely do not need anyone, not even the partners on the list,” he explains, but adds that the whole world is in an emergency situation, that is why this government is concentrating, because unity is necessary at that time.
When asked why we need elections before the four-year term expires, he replied:
“The world is likely to face an even bigger economic crisis.”
According to her, the government will have the absolute support of the Assembly, as well as everything it can do that is necessary.
Speaking as a guest on RTS, she noted that the limited mandate of this government is an additional motivation for everyone to do their best in the year ahead.
He says there will be many new faces, but did not specify how many, explaining that there is too much talk about techniques, although it is necessary to talk now about the challenges that lie ahead.
“We managed to have almost 50 percent women, I don’t think we’re going to ‘shoot’ 50, but it will be close,” he says.
The new members of the government will meet on Sunday, after the SNS Presidency session, Brnabieva said.
Up to 20 hours more than 400 newcomers
“Today we have more than 300 newcomers, we are monitoring the situation for two hours, at 8 pm tonight we had more than 400 newcomers,” he said.
The number will be published tomorrow, and the number of more than 400 is today until 8 o’clock – he explains, emphasizing that the situation must be taken seriously and monitored hour by hour.
According to her, Goran Stevanovi said that there is not a large crowd, but that there are many people with these symptoms.
Future challenges
When asked if the “Serbian Constitution is the Bible” and if it will change during the new period, he replies:
“I have to say that I respect the division of power very much, I believe that the division of power is the basis of a strong democratic society and in that sense the change of the Constitution does not correspond to me, it is to the citizens,” he says.
When it comes to the announced fight against the mafia, the prime minister-designate says it will be one of the three biggest challenges.
“The first is the fight against the coronavirus, the second is the issue of Kosovo and Metohija, and the third is the fight against organized crime,” he explains.
As he also states, the numbers have never been better when it comes to fighting crime – historically, we have the fewest murders and the highest narcotics seizures.
“This fight is extremely dangerous, and will require the coordination of everyone in the government, both with the president and with the Assembly and the Judiciary, who we will ask to be with us in this fight,” he said. He adds that the Judiciary was unhappy, as well as that citizens paid for the ineffectiveness of some judges.
“At this time, we need a complete unit for the war against the mafia. We fought very successfully against the tycoons, today the tycoons do not rule Serbia and do not form the government as they used to,” he says.
According to her, it is an extremely dangerous fight against someone who thought they could be stronger than the state.
When it comes to this year’s European Commission report, he claims that he said nothing. Last year, she said the report amused her.
“I didn’t say anything,” he says.
As he now states, he believes that some external events, such as the internal dialogue with civil society organizations on the issue of Kosovo and Metohija, have not been taken into account.
The request of the civil servant campaign against him was rejected, he adds and promises that the working day is one of the criteria to run for the position of prime minister or member of the party.
