Branislava chased her partner and stabbed him with a kitchen knife, the motive was a cat

Nenad M.’s stabbing was preceded by a brief argument between the single couple about who would feed the cat.

– The two drank in a tavern in Velika Plana and so drunk that they went home where they continued drinking. Soon after, they quarreled over feeding the cat, for Nenad M. to take a kitchen knife and attack the woman with it. – says a source familiar with the case.

According to him, Branislava managed to steal his knife.

– Then he ran and went out into the street. However, Branislava caught up with him on the street where he stabbed him in the arm and then in the thigh. – says our interlocutor.

Although during the investigation it was suspected that Branislav’s wife stabbed her in the chest with a knife, upon arrival of the ambulance and the medical examination, it was determined that Nenad suffered superficial injuries. He refused help and was released shortly after.

Suspect Branislava was detained for up to 48 hours and given urgent measures to prevent domestic violence: expulsion from the house and prohibition to approach and communicate with the victim.

According to our information, Branislava was married before Nenad.

– Her former husband passed away some time ago, after which she and Nenad became emotionally involved. The two met by Nenad working for her and her ex-husband at the home. – says the source and adds that these spouses have known each other before.
