In Zlatibor, yesterday afternoon, a box with voluntary donations for the treatment of the seriously ill little Minja Matić was stolen and the security cameras recorded this fact.
Judging from the videos, the thief is a younger man who is still wanted by the police.
The robbery happened around 3:30 p.m. near the Zlatibor market, and the box was located in front of a beauty salon that has video surveillance. According to the estimate of Dušica Ivanović from Zlatibor, who organized the aid collection for Minja Matić, a thirteen-month-old girl suffering from spinal muscular atrophy, there were about 50,000 dinars in the box.
– The video shows a short-haired man in a dark green jacket, gray ripped jeans and black sneakers approaching the room. He had a protective mask on his face. He picked up the box and started running. The thief, he continues, stopped at a restaurant, but also fell into the camera’s focus.
– It was filmed here without a mask, with a blue sweatshirt. He broke the box, took out some of the money and hid it in a green jacket, which he took off and carried in his hand. At the end of the box, he left, I do not know why, a small part of the money, and then he kept running away – says Dušica Ivanović.
The police, he explains, determined that the same man was on both recordings and asked everyone who recognized him to call the Zlatibor police station at 031-841039.
