BELGRADE – The Deputy Minister of Agriculture DJN, who was arrested on suspicion of receiving a bribe, has been taken into custody, the Belgrade High Court announced today, adding that custody was also ordered for DC who is accused of bribery.
As indicated, the previous procedural judge of the Special Department for Organized Crime of the Belgrade High Court, after hearing the defendants, handed down a sentence ordering their arrest for special circumstances that indicate that he will obstruct the process by influencing the witnesses.
Defendants and defense attorneys can file an appeal against that decision to the extrajudicial criminal panel of the Special Department of the Belgrade High Court, within three days from the date of receipt of the written copy of the decision.

“The suspect was promised the payment of benefits in the amount of about 1,000 euros per month, for the next two years, while the public purchase contract lasts,” the Organized Crime Prosecutor’s Office previously announced.
