At the crossing of Žarka Zrenjanina street at number 2, three people were injured in a collision of two cars, one of which, due to the force of the impact, overturned on the roof, while the other was completely damaged.
Eight years ago, three people died in the same place: mother, father and son.
Miroslav (49), Radmila (47) and Sava (25) were walking down this street in the direction of Novi Sad that fateful night, as well as one of the cars that crashed tonight, when, around 1.30 am, Miroslav was driving his ” Fiat”. caravan style “suddenly lost control of the vehicle. The car landed abruptly off the road, hit a tree, and then flipped over on the roof.
All three members of the Lazić family died at the scene and, apart from numerous relatives and friends, who remained in mourning, Sava left his wife and then a five-month-old baby.
Just half an hour before this tragedy, Miroslav and his son Sava brought Sava’s wife Danijela home from the celebration. Sava then went to the celebration with her father again, only to die while returning home to her parents.
The participants in tonight’s car accident and how lucky they were to get out alive, not only because their cars ended up completely wrecked, but also because it is a very inconspicuous part of the road.
According to the locals of Indjija, since the family died in this place, the road has been fixed, but neither that, nor the mirror placed at the intersection, is enough to prevent further accidents.
