Home tests for the coronavirus have reached pharmacies in Serbia and how many should be on sale today, reports Nova.rs.

Jasminka Bjeletić from Apoteka Beograd says that these tests work very simply, have clear instructions, and can be a substitute for the PCR test.

“Today, we order tests to determine the presence of the corona virus, the so-called home tests. We are now printing instructions for each individual package and they will be on sale this afternoon at approximately 40 of our Belgrade Pharmacy institutions. The price is 1,296 dinars “, says Bjeletić for the portal Nova.rs.

According to him, the tests are very sensitive, about 98 percent. The manufacturer is a South Korean company and the Medicines Agency of the Republic of Serbia approved this test.

Jasminka Bjeletić also explained how this test is done at home for the crown.

“It is accompanied by a simple instruction: a swab is taken from the nose with a stick, the picture shows how deep the stick should be placed in the nose, how long it should be kept, and then the toothpick should be placed on the plate. If two appear Stripes, it means the test is positive and cannot be a false positive; if it is positive, you are infected. And if it is negative, it does not necessarily mean that you are not infected, says the warning on the test. really negative, but also that not enough material was collected for the test, “says Bjeletić, noting that the test is best done on the second, third day after symptoms appear.

He also explained whether, based on all this, we can undergo a home test as a substitute for a PCR test.

“Absolutely. And the price is much cheaper. Without a doubt, this test will make it easier for patients to find out in time if they have covid, especially when other common viral infections start. They will be able to quickly and easily know if it is a covid or a virus ordinary, that is. colds “, concludes the interlocutor.
