“The Belgrade metro project has been at the center of economic relations between France and Serbia for several years. “The French donation of 8.3 million euros will allow the first phase of the metro feasibility study to be carried out in Belgrade,” he said.

Minister Jadranka Joksimovi said that this project is well known to all citizens and that it has been talked about for a long time and that it is what we need most in Belgrade.

“These are projects that last a long time and do not end anywhere overnight,” he said, adding that Serbia and France are cooperating in numerous areas, especially in the fact that France is interested in helping such foreign infrastructure projects. in the country.

Mayor Zoran Radojii said that for decades, one of the most important projects for Belgrade has been the subway.

“The subway is important to our citizens because it will improve the quality of transportation, and an estimated 30 percent of Belgraders will ride the subway,” said Radojii.

He said that the citizens of Belgrade will have a better quality of life and that it is very important that the Serbian Government, the ministers and the city cooperate in carrying out this project.

The Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, Zorana Mihajlovi, said that this day is important in the implementation of the metro construction project because “there is no going back”, because, as she says, this agreement means that we will begin the first phase of construction and we will get a solution for the third line. Earlier today, Deputy Mayor Goran Vesi said that when this work is completed, the conditions will be met for a building permit to be issued and construction of the metro to begin.

“We are doing everything we can to build by the end of 2021,” said Vesi.

He added that the city of Belgrade is currently working on the general regulation plan for IN systems in Belgrade with detailed elaboration elements for the first phase of the first line of the metro system, where early public perception has already been completed, as well as in Makiko polje’s detailed regulation plan. .

“The plan for the general regulation of other systems will be adopted in early autumn, and the Makiko polje PDR by the end of the year, and they are the basis for issuing construction permits for the construction of the metro,” Vesi said.

As noted, during this year, the City of Belgrade has already made geological bases for the needs of the general regulation plan of engineering systems in Belgrade with elements of elaboration for the first phase of the first metro line, a consultant was selected to technical and advisory assistance. metro, and a geotechnical study is being prepared for the project of the first phase of the first line of the Belgrade metro.

“We are preparing documentation for the needs of conducting a competition for the design of metro stations of the first phase of the first line of the Belgrade metro and we will do it to give local architects a chance, and each station will be designed differently that is, it reminds us of the part of the city “. history ”, explained Vesi.

The construction of the Belgrade metro has been promised since 1971, that is, for almost fifty years, and no one has done anything but talk, Vesi said.

Last year, the French company Eis, in accordance with the contract with the City of Belgrade, completed the General Project and the Preliminary Feasibility Study for Metro Lines 1 and 2 in Belgrade and is now continuing the work, said the Deputy Mayor, and added that this project has adopted the routes of Line 1. to connect the train station and Mirijevo, 21.3 kilometers long, with 23 stations, and line 2, which will connect the Zemun and Mirijevo train station. , 19.2 kilometers long, with 20 stations.

The project includes the following stations on line 1: eleznik, Ranirna, Maki, arkovo and Bele vode, Trgovaka, Poeka, Pijaca Banovo brdo, Most na Adi, Sajam, Gazela, Palata pravde, Savski trg, Trg republike, Francuska, Luka Beograd, Danube Station, Panevaki Bridge, Karaburma, Diljska, Vinjika railway stations, Mirijevski boulevard, gymnasium and Mirijevo.

The stations on Line 2 planned by the project are: Mirijevo, Ustanika, Mite Ruia, Cvetkova pijaca, Vojislava Ilia, umatovaka, Juni boulevard, Makenzijeva, Manje, Savski trg, Sava center, Arena, Mercator, Municipality of New Belgrade, Aleksandra Dubeka, Senjski trg, Zemun Stadium, Filipa Vinjia, Novi Novi Sad Road, Zemun Train Station.

The project determined the underground route of the metro, except in Makiko polje, where the route of “line 1” would be on the embankment with an average height of 2.0 meters. The two lines are interspersed and have leveled underground stations in Plaza Sava behind the current railway station building, where the railway platforms are now located and where passengers can move from one to the other. Parallel stations are planned in Mirijevo for both lines. A tunnel under the Sava is planned for line 2.
