After the meeting with the directors of the covid hospital, he said that from Friday KBC “Dragisa Misovic will have to be in the covid system.”

In two days, KBC “Zemun” will be on the kovid system to have enough capacity for all the newly infected.

Lonar said the situation was also alarming in Kraljevo, where the entire hospital was about to switch to the kovid system.

He warned today, due to the large number of patients admitted daily to hospitals, that there is a danger that the capacities of the health system will be exhausted, because there is not an unlimited number of trained health personnel.

After meeting with the directors of covid hospitals, Loncar said that in the last 24 hours just under 400 covid positives were received for treatment, and at least around 150 of them had to be housed in Belgrade.

“We are making additional capacities and schedules. We have places for today and tomorrow, but from Friday we will have to put the entire” Dr Dragisa Misovic “hospital in the kovid system, and after two days the Zemun hospital will return to the kovid system”, emphasized the minister. .

Loncar said that hospitals in the interior have places for now, and that it should come as no surprise that Belgrade patients, who need intensive care, are being transferred to the interior.

He also said that healthcare workers have been struggling with the bark for many months, who also got sick while helping others.

According to him, the State will put all the capacities at its disposal, and all the personnel it has, but citizens, he says, must know that there is no infinity.

“With this dynamic, if we continue to receive 400 covid patients a day in the hospital, and today we are going to have a significant jump in the number of infected from this morning, we will take this system to the point that we will no longer have a place to receive patients”, warned the Minister of Health.

Loncar also said that the state cannot invent medical workers, trained doctors, and nurses to help people.

“At the moment we only have two paths, the third does not exist. The first time is and the first time is the time to get serious, to take the situation seriously, because the situation, although it is the best in Europe, goes in one direction which is not good and worrying. ” Lončar said, adding that everything depends on us.

It is the first time, he points out, to urgently cut off all unnecessary contacts, not to go places we don’t have to go, especially not places where there are mass rallies, illegal concerts or celebrations and the like.

He also said that there are more and more examples of young people lying in hospitals, and in the room next to their grandparents, because young people go to places of greater risk thinking that there can be nothing for them, and then they return home and infect the elderly.

Lončar said that the clinical picture is not naive even among young people.

“As long as we work, so it will be for us,” concluded the minister.

250 infected health workers

Health Minister Zlatibor Lončar said today that 250 health workers were infected with the corona virus.

Of that number, fewer than 30 health workers are hospitalized, Loncar added.

“It is much better than in other countries, but we are not satisfied even when one of our healthcare workers is infected,” Loncar said.
