– We will have a cooling of about 10 degrees, which is a somewhat unpleasant drop, but the temperatures will drop to the average for this time of year. September is the first day of autumn in the climatological sense, but autumn will not come to us overnight. There will be no extreme tropical waves, but you can expect days when there will be up to 30 degrees, said meteorologist Djordje Đurić.
Tomorrow will be one of the hottest days of summer, so it is possible that this weekend could be declared the hottest of 2020. Already on Monday, the clouds will cover the north and west of the country (Subotica, Novi Sad, Cacak, Uzice, Prijepolje …). In the afternoon and evening in these areas the development of local showers with thunder is possible, and on Tuesday it will be below 30 degrees throughout the country.
Cooling will mean lowering the temperature to about 25 degrees, and locally from 22 to 23 degrees.
Wednesday will be dry, while further precipitation is possible on Thursday.
After this cooling, the temperature will gradually increase to “normal” in September. In the next period, we are expected to have the usual time for September, which means 25-30 degrees in the first part of the month, and slightly lower temperatures (20-22) in the second part.
– For now, there are no announcements of some extreme events in September, local storms are possible, nothing alarming – said Đurić.
