The owner of the Niška Banja swimming pool, IM (43), was arrested on a well-founded suspicion that he struck the head of an 18-year-old NA from Niš with a hammer on Friday night and seriously injured him, the Administration confirmed. Niš Police to the Beta agency.
“The suspect was ordered to be detained for 48 hours and he will be transferred to the Higher Public Ministry for questioning with a criminal complaint for inflicting serious bodily injury,” said the police.
According to unofficial information, IM assaulted a young man in celebration of the eighteenth birthday of a girl from Nis at the swimming pool he rents in Niska Banja.
The suspect wanted to shorten the party because he noticed that some young people got drunk and around 10 p.m. he started yelling at them to get out of the pool.
He then approached a group of youths and slapped one, and attacked two youths with a hammer, slightly injuring one, while NA was seriously injured.
He entered the Neurosurgery Clinic with an open skull fracture, where he underwent surgery and is out of danger.
