Starting today, women in Serbia will be able to retire at the age of 63 years and two months and at least 15 years of insurance experience.
The retirement age for women has moved two months this year, while for men the same conditions apply as last year: 65 years and at least 15 years of insurance. For an old-age pension, insured persons of both sexes can exercise this right from 45 years of insurance, regardless of their age.
To date, the conditions to exercise the right to an early old-age pension have also changed, so that men need 40 years of insurance experience and 59 years of life, and women at least 39 years and four months of experience insurance company and 58 years and four months of life.
In that case, the pension is permanently reduced by 0.34 percent for each month before the prescribed age for acquiring the right to the old-age pension in that calendar year, and the total amount of the reduction for the early-age pension it can reach a maximum of 20.4 percent.
Starting this year, the monthly income of all pensioners in Serbia will increase by 5.9 percent, in line with the growth of gross domestic product (GDP) and inflation, so the average pension will amount to around of 29,400 dinars.
