The Deputy Mayor of Belgrade, Goran Vesić, said this morning that today, at the Belgrade Fair, together with the citizens who have an appointment for the vaccination, the Municipal Cleaning workers will also be vaccinated.

This is the beginning of the vaccination of the workers of the public companies of Belgrade, and as he explained, the workers of the City Cleaning are a priority, because they are in constant contact with the people.

Vesić told TV Prva that 14,000 cleaning workers requested vaccination, adding that it was the turn of the City Communication Company employees, and then Belgrade’s water and sewerage services and other city services.

Vesić recalled that 17 call centers were opened for 17 municipalities in the city and pointed out that so far almost 10,000 people over 65 have been reported through them with their consent, who, as he said, would probably remain unvaccinated.

According to him, the city has so far transported 1,200 people who did not have transportation for vaccination.

Vesić said that the equipping of Pavilion 3 of the Belgrade Fair begins at 9 am and that vaccination will start on Monday or Tuesday at the latest. As indicated, there will be 46 doctors and 56 nurses in that room. He noted that each day between 9,000 and 10,000 people will be vaccinated in Hall 3.

– At the fair, 3,000 people are currently vaccinated daily, which means that only here 13,000 citizens will be vaccinated daily. 3,500 to 4,000 people are vaccinated daily in health centers, which means that 15,000 to 17,000 people will be vaccinated daily in Belgrade next week, Vesić said.

He pointed out that the fact that the City Council is opening so many points shows “that we are organized and that we care about our citizens.”

He expressed his satisfaction that a large number of citizens requested vaccination, about 200,000 of them, which, as he emphasized, shows that they are responsible and understand “that this is the only way out of the crisis.”
