The Minister of Education, Mladen Šarčević, told Kurir that the team of experts from the ministry he leads drew up a plan for teaching in the faculties as of October 1, which was sent to the medical part of the crisis headquarters for the suppression of the coronavirus epidemic.
– At the beginning of next week, they should decide how the classes will be carried out in the faculties – Šarčević said, adding:
– Some faculties can easily organize online classes, and that will not affect the quality of the study, but some faculties must organize exercises that require the presence of students. In that sense, studying medicine is not the same as political science – explains the minister.
Parents in torment
The uncertainty about whether classes will be taught online or at universities has also plagued the parents of many inland academics who find themselves in the dilemma of finding accommodation for their students at university centers or being able to stay home and attend lectures in line. .
– We do not yet have information from the university on how the administration will organize classes starting in October, if online lectures and exercises will be organized or if students will have to attend university. Since my daughter is studying security, most of the subjects are theoretical, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t some compulsory exercises, the mother of an interior student told Kurir.
Contracts and deposits
He notes that he has been asking for days to rent an apartment for his daughter in Belgrade and that he was surprised that the owners, unlike in previous years, now have strict requirements, so almost everyone asks for a contract with the tenants in advance, for a minimum of three or six. months, and there are those who are looking for a one-year contract.
– Agencies also seek contracts as intermediaries, as well as apartment owners. We are looking for a flat in the center of the city, with a deposit, but we have not saved money for several months of rent and that is why we have problems if our daughter has to move – says a worried father.
