As elections in the United States decide on probably the most powerful man in the world, the question arises whether the politics of this superpower will change if there is a change in the White House. Will new wars start that Trump did not start during his tenure? What will be Washington’s attitude towards NATO, the EU and China?
Would the policy of a possible new administration towards Serbia change, especially with regard to the Kosovo and Metohija issue?
What will happen to the Washington agreement, can it be annulled or has the United States taken a new and safe course towards Serbia that will not change?
Will the Serbs, whom Biden himself called villains, feel the wrath of the cruel revenge of the Democrats for their support of Trump?
Sure victory
The journalist and political analyst Milovan Jovanovic believes that Biden’s victory is certain, as well as a return to traditional American politics, characteristic of the establishment representatives in Washington.

– The Crown epidemic and the race riots have completely nullified everything Trump has achieved in the economic field, and the situation has turned in favor of Biden. If the Democratic candidate wins, a relatively predictable policy awaits us. Returning to the European countries and reinforcing the NATO pact. At the foreign policy level, Biden will try to contain China and its “high-tech authoritarianism” alongside traditional allies, says Jovanović.
Serbia is key for the US.
Our interlocutor says that the Biden administration would also remain interested in the region.
– The policy towards Serbia will not change, nor will the Washington agreement be annulled – said Jovanović and recalled Biden’s visit to Serbia in 2016.
– Biden then spoke with Vučić and emphasized the importance of Serbia as a key country for the political and economic development of the region. On that occasion, he even praised the leadership shown by Vučić, especially in terms of regional cooperation – says Jovanović.
It’s a lie that Democrats hate us and Republicans love us
Our interlocutor says that there is a big mistake in our country that we Serbs, Republicans love and Democrats hate, and he listed only a few of the names of influential Republicans who, not only did not understand Serbs, but who worked directly in against the interests of our people.
– Two Republicans, Joseph Diogardi and Robert Bob Dole, are the founders of the Albanian-American lobby in the United States. Joseph Diogradi founded the “Albanian-American Civic League” in 1989, the symbol of which is a map of “Greater Albania”. Many other influential republicans, such as congressmen, senators, people from the military and security sectors, did not understand the Serbs and Serbia. of them: Newt Gringrich, John McCain, Donald Rumsveld, Dick Cheney, Condoleezza Rice, Colin Powell, Mitch McConnell, Paul Ryan, Ed Royce, Henry Hyde, Mitt Romney, Bill Frist, Trent Lot, Stephen Hadley, Theodore Stevens, Fred Thomson , Susan Collins …
The Kosovo and Metohija issue is bad news
According to our interlocutor, the Biden administration would resolve the issue of Kosovo and Metohija through negotiations under the auspices of Brussels, but also by insisting on a final agreement and the recognition of the independence of Serbia.
Will Biden get revenge?
When asked if Biden will take revenge on Serbs for their active participation in the Trump campaign, Jovanovic said:
– It will not. In politics there are no emotions, only interests. With hard work and smart politics, the President of Serbia managed to establish good personal relationships with the most influential people in the Democratic Party and the Republican Party. The interests of Serbia must never be in conflict with the interests of the most powerful and strongest country in the world. We had the opportunity to feel the price of such a policy on our own skin in the 90s – says Jovanović.
Jovanovic points out that for the United States, Serbia has become the most important country in this part of Europe, and its president is the most influential and strongest political figure in the region.
– For all that, it is necessary to continue improving relations with the United States, whoever the president of the United States is – concluded Jovanović.
