“I made the decision a long time ago, twice I had the opportunity to think about leaving the Crisis Staff, but I solved the problem myself. where should I speak and where decisions are made ”, is Dr. Predrag Kon’s answer to the question of whether he was thinking of leaving the Crisis Staff.
As a guest on Prva TV, he spoke about the attacks on crisis personnel, and then about the apology of the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, which was sent on that occasion.
– I don’t need anyone to apologize to me, I’m glad they did, but I don’t need it. I do the job the best I can. It diverts attention from the crown. We only have one opponent and I don’t allow myself to have more than one opponent. Everything is fine, everything will be on the agenda, that story means nothing to me. I have great respect for my work and my human life, and in that sense I am committed to this business – emphasized Dr. Kon.
The epidemiologist also addressed earlier allegations that epidemiological measures were delayed.
– Many things led to this from before, it was ignored that there could not be gatherings with loud music, then it moved and the feeling that we were in danger was completely lost. I wrote the first letter on October 25, that’s why the measures were delayed, it’s a question for someone else – he explained.
He added that it is clear that “there is a medical part of the Crisis Staff and politically.”
– That is the essence, unlike some who call us invertebrates. And that’s okay, respect. I heard you, but there is no doubt that it is so. You have the right to think what you want – concluded Dr. Kon.
