The Hungarian police have discovered a new tunnel under the fence on the border between Hungary and Serbia for migrant smuggling.

This is the fifth case in the last year that Hungarian border authorities discovered an underground passage, RTS reported.

According to the claim of the Hungarian authorities, members of the Backiškun county police captaincy last night found a tunnel on the territory of the Čikerija settlement that leads from the Serbian side to the Hungarian territory, under the protective border fence.

Hungarian police say the tunnel has been secured and will soon be buried.

This is the fifth case in the last year that Hungarian border authorities discovered an underground passage under the fence on the Hungarian-Serbian border, which was dug up by migrant smugglers.

The Hungarian police yesterday arrested and deported 110 migrants, found without documents on the territory of Hungary or in an attempt to cross the border illegally.
