Small businessmen and entrepreneurs in Serbia will not give up their application for state aid, and among the main ones is the cancellation of taxes and contributions on wages, which were postponed until January 1, 2021.
This was said at today’s protest in Belgrade by the representative of the association “Protector of Serbian Entrepreneurs and Entrepreneurs”, Sladjana Trajković.
The protest, organized by that association, which was attended by about a thousand businessmen from Belgrade and the interior, was held in front of the ministries of economy and finance.
One of the participants became ill and was taken to the hospital by ambulance.
“We are not going to give up the request that the state help us and cancel the deferred taxes and contributions,” said Trajković of Beta.
He added that the businessmen did not receive a response from the Government of Serbia to the requests sent a month ago, and that they asked for help again.
“Small businessmen and entrepreneurs are in an extremely difficult position because some are not working and some are already laying off workers and closing shops,” Trajković said.
He added that entrepreneurs who guarantee financial obligations with movable property are in a particularly difficult situation.
At the protest, a letter was read from the musician’s representative, Vladimir Stanković, requesting a conversation at the Ministry of Culture about the extremely difficult position of his colleagues. The letter states that a small number of musicians received help and that the existence of the majority is in danger.
The list of applications includes the abolition of the e-tax in the amount of 5,000 to 2 million dinars and the collection of the advance income tax, the abolition of the copyright-based “musical dinar” for business music broadcasting. that did not work and the postponement of the audit due to additional costs.
The association is also dissatisfied because, as they say, subsidies are given to foreign investors, and “extra profits are given to supermarkets that, under the pretext of selling food, also sell additional goods, while inspections are sent to national entrepreneurs and work is restricted. “
