As of Monday, residents of Nis with respiratory problems will not have to attend an examination exclusively at the outpatient clinic of the Duvanište Health Center, where there are lines for both the control and the first examination.

The worsening of the epidemiological situation in this city forced the authorities to open another kovid ambulance, and it was announced for Monday at the facilities of the former sports dispensary in Cátedra. The ambulance behind the Radnički stadium will work exclusively as a Kovid ambulance, every day from 7 am to 10 pm, as well as the ambulance in Duvanište.

There will be general practitioners, laboratory blood tests will be performed, samples will be taken for the kovid 19 test (PCR method, serology, antigen test), informs the Health Center and reminds patients that the infusion center, which worked in the ambulance from the chair, he was transferred to Nikola Tesla Health Station.

In Nis, on Monday, also in Cátedra, a temporary covid hospital will open at the sports center. Unlike the one in Belgrade, Chair’s hospital will be a hospital without medical devices, as announced, and will not have oxygen facilities or respirators.

As previously stated by the manager of the temporary hospital, Dr. Goran Stanojevic, for the H1, the plan is to accommodate patients with a milder clinical picture for the purpose of isolation, although such patients, according to the protocols, are sent for home treatment. It will be mainly intended for younger people in student residences.

At the Nis Clinical Center, the accelerated growth in the number of covid patients began on November 2. According to data from the institution, on the last day of October, 84 people were treated for the consequences of the virus, and eight days later that figure reached 140. However, there is enough capacity and there is a plan drawn up to expand the covid center .
