From yesterday to today, 6,903 new cases of the corona virus have been registered in Serbia and 57 people have died. A total of 213,843 people have contracted the virus in our country so far, and 1,891 deaths have been registered.
There are currently 7,988 patients in the hospital, of which 279 are on respirators.
In the last 24 hours, 18,232 people were tested, and a total of 1,885,460 since March.
As of today, the Nis Military Hospital is in the Kovid system, and its capacity is 50 beds. Defense Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic affirmed that this hospital will facilitate the work of the Clinical Center in Nis and help difficult patients to receive quality treatment.
The president of the Social Democratic Party, Boris Tadić, announced on social media that he was positive for the corona virus.
The new kovid hospital in Batajnica received the first patients yesterday and is currently treating 80 patients, said the director of the Serbian Clinical Center (KCS), Milika Ashanin. He stated that it was a “difficult night” for us.
In the last 24 hours, 4,084 new cases of corona virus infection have been confirmed in Croatia and 70 people have died, the National Civil Protection Headquarters announced today.
The latest number of newly infected, hospitalized and deceased by coronavirus in the United States broke all previous records, and health experts warn that the epidemic in that country could worsen. According to Johns Hopkins University, a record 217,664 new infected people were confirmed in the country in the last 24 hours and 2,879 died.
Russia started the corona virus vaccination program this morning, and Moscow clinics will first vaccinate those most exposed to the risk of infection, reports RTCG. Thousands of people have already registered.
