Another 61 people died, 7,041 newly infected, with 254 respirators – Society

In the last 24 hours, 7,041 new infected with the corona virus were registered in Serbia and 61 people died. A total of 163,035 people have contracted the virus in our country so far and 1,484 deaths have been registered.

There are currently 7,011 patients in hospital treatment, of which 254 are on respirators.

In the last 24 hours, 18,592 people were tested and a total of 1,744,981 since March.

Earlier today, Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić declared that today will be a difficult day, especially in terms of the number of deaths.

Darija Kisić Tepavčević, Minister of Labor, Employment, Veterans and Social Affairs and a member of the crisis staff, said that older citizens are “the most responsible part of the nation” and that currently the highest percentage of infected with the virus it is in the group up to 60 years.

The epidemiologist Branislav Tiodorović estimated that by the end of next week or from the middle of December, the epidemiological situation will gradually calm down and that “Black Friday” will cost us dearly.

Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabić announced that a new session of crisis staff would be held earlier this week for the suppression of the corona virus epidemic. He said that the authorities “every day” are thinking of introducing new measures to suppress the epidemic.

Given the steady growth of newly discovered cases, our country currently has one of the highest numbers of coronavirus infections per 100,000 in Europe observed in the last 14 days.

Today, Croatia has 55 deaths and 3,987 new infected with the virus, and Slovenia has 43 deaths and 1,591 new cases.
