A total of 2,969 people were infected in social protection institutions
The presence of coronavirus in social protection institutions and homes for adults and the elderly in Serbia has been confirmed in 2,081 users and 888 employees, announced the Ministry of Labor, Employment, Veterans Affairs and Social Affairs.
As indicated, the total number of cured users of social protection institutions is 2,212 and the number of cured that are employed in these institutions is 988.

Another 8 dead and 223 new people infected in Kosovo and Metohija
In Kosovo and Metohija, in areas under the supervision of the Kosovo government health care system, eight more people have died in the last 24 hours as a result of kovid 19.
Since the outbreak of the epidemic, 1,256 people have died and, according to doctors, other accompanying diseases.
The Pristina Institute of Public Health recorded 223 new cases of coronavirus infection based on tests of 1,001 samples.
11,081 cases are active. More than 500 patients are hospitalized.

Almost a third of the new cases registered are from Belgrade
Of 3,534 new cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours, 1,065 were registered in Belgrade. There were 213 cases in Novi Sad, 129 in Kragujevac, 127 in Nis and 101 in Zrenjanin.
Kraljevo, Uzice, Sabac, Valjevo, Pancevo, Subotica and Smederevo have registered more than 50 cases, while in other cities in Serbia 50 cases of coronavirus have been registered in the last 24 hours.

In total, more than 300,000 cases of coronavirus have been registered
Since the beginning of the epidemic, 300,062 cases of coronavirus have been registered in Serbia, while 2,686 people have died from the consequences caused by this virus.
In the past 24 hours, 11,068 people were tested, of whom 3,534 tested positive for kovid-19, while 54 patients died.
9,604 people were hospitalized, while 313 patients are on the ventilator.
In Krusevac, in the presence of the President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić, opened a new covid hospital, capacity 500 seats, which will contribute to strengthening the health system in the fight against the coronavirus.
Epidemiologist and crisis staff member Predrag Kon told RTS that in any case the potential of the virus is slowly diminishingWe must not allow the situation to get worse.
“The medical part of the Crisis Staff does not support the flexibility of the measures, the reality is as it is, we are mature people, we’ll see,” said Kon.
A member of the crisis staff, epidemiologist Branislav Tiodorović, said there was a slight decrease in the number of newly infected with the coronavirus, but warned that the health system was still overloaded.
Tiodorović told those who come to Serbia to behave as in the countries where they come from, Austria, Germany, where very strict measures are in force.
The intensive care of the Kovid Hospital of the Nis Clinical Center has been under constant pressure for nine months, especially in this third peak of the coronavirus epidemic when it is on the verge of maximum capacity almost every day, said the director of the Clinic of Anesthesia and Intensive Care of the Clinical Center in Nis Radmilo Jankovic.
