Potter with health inspectors

Health Minister Zlatibor Lončar met with health inspectors who have been monitoring the implementation of anti-epidemic measures since the beginning of the coronavirus epidemic.

As he pointed out, in the previous month and a half alone, inspectors brought more than 80,000 quarantine decisions, and from March to December they conducted 130,000 inspections of compliance and application of measures.

Loncar expressed his great appreciation to the health inspectors across the country, for the honorable and responsible performance of professional tasks in order to control the coronavirus epidemic, announced the Ministry of Health.

The Minister noted that the citizens of Serbia are also very grateful to the health inspection, because by monitoring compliance with the measures, the inspectors prevent the spread of the virus and protect the health of citizens.

We live in a time of great epidemics, which occur once every 100 years. For this reason, all the eyes and all the hopes of the citizens were rightly directed towards our inspection, towards the people who have been on the ground since March, day and night, monitoring the application of the measures. I would like to show great respect to the health inspection for the work carried out so far, for the responsible and professional approach to the work, ”said Lončar.

Distance, hand washing and the use of masks remain key for the prevention of the spread of the coronavirus and this will be until mass vaccination begins, reports Crisis Staff.

President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić stated that the first quantities of vaccines will arrive in Serbia before the end of the year, and that vaccination will begin when approved by the health authorities, at the latest in January, but perhaps at the end of December.

“We will have the first quantities of vaccines, at least two different vaccines, and maybe three, before the end of the year. Whether we will start vaccination before the end of the year or the beginning of next, depends on the expert organizations of the country, the health authorities. , when they pass, “Aleksandar Vučić said, answering questions from journalists in Inđija.

Vučić announced that the new Kovid hospital in Kruševac could open on Friday or Saturday.

The number of new infected began to decrease compared to what we had about ten days ago. Epidemiologist and crisis staff member Predrag Kon told RTS. He adds that the impact on the number of hospital admissions will be felt in about ten days.

Dr. Kon said that there are still more hospital admissions than discharges. He points out that now that number is higher at about 200, and that it used to be 300, and as he says, in ten days it will equalize.

The situation in Serbia is extremely difficult and serious, because a large number of patients infected with the coronavirus are hospitalized, and a large number of those infected are also among health workers, said the infectologist Mijomir Pelemis.

The director of the Infectious Diseases Clinic, Dr. Goran Stevanović, points out that the situation is not calming down and that the number of patients with a serious clinical picture is high.
