From yesterday until today, 2,823 new cases of coronavirus have been registered in Serbia and 14 people have died. The number of new infected is the highest within 24 hours after the start of the pandemic.

A total of 66,888 people have contracted the virus in our country so far, and 915 deaths have been registered.

There are currently 2,764 patients in the hospital, 126 of whom are wearing respirators.

In the last 24 hours, 13,091 people were tested, and a total of 1,442,642 since March.

Kovid hospital in Požarevac reports that 99 patients with corona virus symptoms are currently being treated there, 17 of whom are from Belgrade and the rest are from Braničevo district. Kovid 19 infection has been confirmed in more than 60 people, while others await test results.

The director of the Novi Pazar Institute of Public Health, Šefadil Spahić, assessed today that the epidemiological situation in that city is unfavorable and unstable because the number of corona infected with the virus has been growing in the last month.

The Chinese laboratory Sinovac Biotech announced today that it is convinced of the safety of its experimental vaccine against covid-19, despite the suspension of the clinical trial in Brazil after a “serious incident”.
