Police director Vladimir Rebic said tonight that he was in constant contact with the Montenegrin police director and police directors in neighboring countries and to exchange information with them, as well as that he expected the “bully” from Novi Sad, who brutally beat a young man, would soon be arrested.

Rebić also told TV Pink that people’s claims that the police began to take up the case only when it appeared in the media were incorrect, emphasizing that there was no cover-up or reluctance.

“These are absolutely nonsensical statements,” Rebić said, adding that all actions in this case can be seen in the records.

– The Internal Control Service of the Ministry of the Interior carries out a detailed analysis of all actions, it is a period of 20 days and if someone made a mistake, they will be responsible for it. There is no cover-up or reluctance. We did not deal with this case in the media, and when we faced pressure to do nothing, we had to issue a statement – said Rebić.
