Nis does not stop crying for Andrej P. and Dejan Ilić, twelve years old, father of three children and well-known trade unionist who was hit by an “Audi” driven by NS (19) from Belgrade on 4 January around 20:40 hours.
NS was arrested and defended himself in silence. He came to Nis with his family to visit his grandmother. The people of Nis are especially grieving for the boy whose father died in the chest two years ago.
– His father Viktor died young. He exhaled in his sleep, and the scariest thing was that little Andrej was trying to wake him up in bed at the time. This is true and is known in Nis, and that is why our friends and neighbors break our hearts when we think that the child no longer exists – one of the friends of the family tells us where little Andrej is from.
Nis is horrified by this event because the National Assembly started on Mediana Boulevard with three girls. It’s a wide boulevard and according to police, he was driving there at about 180 an hour. It was raining and although it was found that he was not drinking alcohol, his car slipped from speed, thus “gathering” passers-by on the sidewalk with the rear side.
Dragan Ognjanović, with whom Dejan Ilić was walking that fateful night, also testifies.
– We were in front of the boy. It all took a few seconds. Something exploded behind us and then it turned out that the car hit the boy. I turned around, the car hit Dejan, my best friend. I can’t calm down since then, I’m taking tranquilizers – says this famous musician from Nis.
Gabriela, Dejan’s daughter, said goodbye with sad words for her father.
– My father died on the pavement where he was run over by a nineteen-year-old boy, with a new Audi, which had a large cubic capacity. Committing a series of crimes, thus claiming two lives. The life of Andrej, a twelve-year-old boy, and the life of the father of three, who waited for Dad to come back from a walk and cook dinner for them … I appeal to all the institutions that will deal with this case to do their job and understand everything. what the victims and others who are in such a situation go through. On the other hand, I appeal to parents to have a little more fun with their children, what they see, who their role models are, and where and where that kind of behavior comes from. . to prevent 18-year-olds from buying the so-called “angry car” with which they will cut the grass for our fellow citizens. The people of Nis are not only sad but also angry. Citizens are fed up with the arrogance of promising young sons killing innocent citizens on the roads, just because they previously tried to heal their complexes by stepping on the gas. That is why a protest is being prepared on January 9 at 3 in the afternoon, in which many citizens will express their dissatisfaction with it.
