The Crisis Shab session, held yesterday, raised questions about which of the existing measures will be relaxed in Serbia. As confirmed by the members of the Crisis Staff, almost all the measures that existed this weekend will remain in force, and will be discussed at the new meeting scheduled for Monday.

However, some institutions will undergo changes, and “Blic” brings you in one place which measures are valid for the weekend, what is on the table on Monday and the relaxation of which measures is not yet an option.

What is undoubtedly still in force and has been a measure in force for a long time is the gathering of more than five people outdoors and indoors.

Decisions for the weekend

On weekends they work:

  • Supermarkets (until 9:00 p.m., weekdays and weekends)
  • Gas stations for refueling, pharmacy and food delivery by courier (24 hours a day, seven days a week)
  • Markets: also open on weekends from 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
  • Facilities and businesses that provide services that do not require the presence of users or are the presence and contact of limited duration, such as electrical appliances, technical services, tailors, shoemakers and glass cutters, can operate on weekdays until 9:00 p.m. hours, and on Saturdays until 5:00 p.m.
  • Medical surgeries and labs can operate around the clock, including weekends.
  • Restaurants and bars located within the hotel and private accommodations (they can provide their services only and exclusively to registered and registered guests until 9 pm every day)

New recommendation what will probably be adopted is that cultural institutions – cinemas, theaters, galleries, museums will be open from 9 pm on Monday, while this weekend their working hours will be until 5 pm.

They do not work on weekends:

  • restaurant: restaurants, cafes, bars, clubs, as well as game rooms and betting houses
  • Malls (applies to all other boutiques and stores and outside of shopping centers)
  • Service activities: hair and beauty salons, beauty salons, fitness centers, gyms and gyms, spas and swimming pools

The aforementioned facilities, according to the proposal of the Crisis Staff, which was accepted by the Government last week, are open until 5 in the afternoon on weekdays.

What will be discussed on Monday?

The working day of shops and shopping centers could be extended to 20 hours on weekdays and on weekends to 14 or 15 hours. For now, this is the most likely option of a new working hours following the possible relaxation of measures on the eve of the New Year holidays.

As things stand now, it is possible to extend working hours on the same principle and service activities such as hairdressers, estheticians and the like, but for now, longer working hours for catering facilities ARE NOT A OPTION!

The final decision on these changes will be made in the new session of the Crisis Staff, which, as announced by “Blic”, will take place on Monday, December 21 at dawn.

In that session, it will definitely cut down to when it is possible to go shopping, but there is no talk of extending the work of cafes and restaurants, as things are now.

In the Crisis Staff this morning there was no talk of service activities such as hairdressing salons, but it is not ruled out that the working hours of this and other similar activities will also be extended.
