Ana Ivanovi, once the best tennis player in the world, retired from professional tennis on this day four years ago.

Ivanovieva, who won a Grand Slam title in her career at Roland Garros in 2008, appeared on social media reminding fans of her decision to end her career.
The impression is that Ana, who was 29 years old at the time, could certainly play one more season, but she obviously prioritized her private life and family obligations.
Ivanovieva is happily married to former Bayern player Bastian Weintiger and is the mother of two boys, Luke and Leon.
“I finished my career in tennis four years ago. I am still grateful for every memory, victory and lesson. Always follow your dreams. It is worth it,” Ivanovieva said.
In addition to that title at Roland Garros, Ana also played in the final the previous year and reached the final in Australia in 2008.
She won a total of 15 titles and recorded 480 tournament wins, earning more than $ 15.5 million in competitions alone.
She spent a total of 12 weeks at the top of the WTA chart.
