Prime Minister Ana Brnabić said that today a new “black record” in the number of people infected with coronavirus can be expected, and that there are supposed to be more than 5,000 of them.
The numbers were worse this morning at 8:00 am than yesterday. As a general rule, Wednesday is always worse for us than Tuesday, and the number of newly infected falls on Thursday and Friday, Brnabić told reporters after the meeting at the National Academy of Public Administration.
Referring to the measures that took effect on Tuesday night, he pointed out that it would take three to five days to see their first result, and that the inspections began to control working hours at 9:00 p.m.
Brnabić stated that schools are the safest places against the coronavirus, but that in any case, he would ask the expert part of the crisis staff for recommendations on how to proceed in that area. We have to think about being prepared for any situation, he explained.
Responding to the question about the payment of workers who are in self-isolation or in hospital because of the crown, Brnabic said that it is the responsibility of the employer, “to treat workers properly” and that the state cannot regulate that individual responsibility, because it is “extremely expensive”. .
