An unusual case was recorded in Bor today when the police arrested a person who tested positive for the corona virus sitting in a cafe, instead of being isolated at home!
Doctors appeal to the public to respect the prescribed measures, because the last case in which a positive person is found in a cafe, instead of staying in home isolation, affects the spread of this contagious disease.
– It is inexplicable that someone who tests positive for the corona virus goes to a cafe and spends time there and is carried out by the police. Is it so difficult to respect the measures for the health of all of us, that person who is positive, as well as everyone else? Emphasized Dr. Vesna Radosavljević, director of the Bor Health Center.
This morning more than 40 people were waiting in front of the kovid ambulance
He stressed that in recent days there has been an increase in the number of patients visiting the Kovid clinic.
– Yesterday 82 patients were examined. We have quite a congestion and this morning 42 patients were waiting in front of the door to enter an exam. We managed to organize ourselves and patients are no longer left out. They will receive an hourly rate, 10 patients will be seen every hour, hour and a half, and we have increased the number of doctors who will see all patients. I ask the citizens to be patient, because we are doing our best and making the last efforts to receive all people – added Dr. Radosavljević.
Positively seven students
In this third wave, there are seven school-age children and one six-year-old.
– Fortunately, children have no symptoms. All diagnoses have been made and they are in home isolation. The children are from different schools, there are no connections, most are asymptomatic or with milder symptoms. And family contacts are on the same page, as with other new patients. I asked a patient who was positive if he was at a celebration and he said “why not, is it prohibited?” Don’t do that, we have to take care of ourselves. We do not know how many of them are infected and there may be no symptoms, so follow the measures, wear masks properly, wash your hands, disinfect the facilities and keep your distance – said Dr. Javorka Stankulić, head of the Epidemiological Service of the Center for Bork Health.
“People who work in hospitals are running out of power”
Dr. Goran Joksimović, director of Bor General Hospital, emphasized that there are 18 patients in the Thoracic Department, 14 of whom are positive with a moderate to severe clinical picture, and that most of them need oxygen support.
– Each health system has its own capabilities. People who work in hospitals are already running out of power. Since March, our doctors have been working in the chest department for 12 hours. Due to irresponsibility, failure to comply with the measures, let’s not end up in a situation in which we will not have a place to receive patients. We have made a strategy, that we will empty the rooms so that the covid system works, but think about your family members, friends who do not have covid and have another disease and need to be treated in the hospital. The arrogant behavior of people has already been mentioned, and that is exactly what leads to the oversaturation of the health care system, said Dr. Joskimović.
The inspection has been active in the field for two weeks, and as emphasized, the control of compliance with the measures prescribed in public transport will soon begin.
– The greatest irregularities were noted in not wearing masks in shopping centers, records are being made that are sent to the health inspection. As for the working hours of the discos and cafes, some respect them, but there were also cases in which they did not respect the working hours. There was a larger meeting in a cafe and it was indicated in the minutes and will be further regulated by the sanitary inspectors, emphasized Dragan Štrbac, from the Department of Inspection Affairs of the Bor City Administration.
Doctors emphasized that 72 results of swabs taken at the Kovid clinic and another 20 from the Health Center are pending.
Members of the Expert Operational Team for Hygienic and Epidemiological Measures of the Emergency Situations Headquarters of the City of Bor warn about the uncertain epidemiological situation in the territory of the city due to the increasing number of positives for Covid-19. As said, the highest number of positives was recorded on Saturday, when 26 new cases of this virus were registered, and currently a total of 115 people are positive for the corona.
