Today, Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić presented awards for merit in suppressing the coronavirus epidemic to the doctors who received the recognition on the occasion of the Day of Reconciliation in the First World War, on November 11.

As reported by Serbian Radio Television, the infectious disease specialist Mijomir Pelemis, former director of the Infectious Diseases Clinic of the Serbian Clinical Center and current member of the government Crisis Staff for the Suppression of the Epidemic, received the First Degree Star of the Order by Karadjordj.

The epidemiologist Branislav Tiodorović, the director of the Infectious Diseases Clinic in Belgrade Goran Stevanović and the director of the KCS Institute of Radiology Oncology Danica Grujičić received the Karadjordjev Star of the second degree.

Vučić awarded the Third Degree Star of the Order of Karadjordj to the Deputy Director of the KCS Infectious and Tropical Diseases Clinic Ivana Milošević, Anesthesiology Specialist at the Nebojsa Lađević Clinical Center of Serbia, Director of the Marsija kosanest “Clinical Hospital Center” Bežanij Zdravković and Director of the Intensive Care Clinic A in Nis de Radmilo Janković.

The gold medal of merit was awarded to the director of KBC “Dr. Dragiša Mišović” Vladimir Djukić, anesthesiologist of that health institution Vladimir Radović, nurse of KBC Radica Avramović as well as hygienist of the Clinic for Infectious and Tropical Diseases Ana Stojković.
