A total of 1,268 are active, of which 278 patients are in hospital treatment and 27 are on respirators.

So far, 257 people have died from the kovid 19 virus in Croatia.

The director of the Croatian Institute of Public Health, Krunoslav Capak, said Tuesday that serological tests during the spring showed that the number of those who came into contact with the coronavirus was 25 to 30 times higher than the number of infected, that is, those whose PCR test confirmed coronavirus infection.

“Approximately 400,000 people in Croatia have probably come into contact with the virus,” he said, adding that the serological tests would be repeated.

He added that in Croatia, herd immunity could be achieved by the middle of next year, that is, when more than 50 percent of the population comes into contact with the coronavirus.

As of February 25, a total of 15,340 people infected with the new corona virus had been registered in Croatia, of which 257 have died. A total of 13,815 people were recovered, of which 828 in the last 24 hours.

There are currently 9,314 people in self-isolation. To date, a total of 273,684 people have been tested, of which 6,387 in the last 24 hours.
