After about a year and a half since the incident at the Seventh Gymnasium in Belgrade, when physics teacher Zvonko Obradović was beaten up by students in the class, it seems that this teacher no longer has a place in education.
As he said, “he folded the sheet” and sued the school for disrespect for the law and injuries at work, he also sued the newspapers that, according to him, publicly denounced him, used his photo without approval and denigrated him, he said, for the rest of his life. As he says, he was crucified on a pillar of shame. He also filed a criminal complaint against the boy from whom he received several blows to the neck.
– So I gave a statement to the SUP so that a process against him can be started, because it is only now that he is questioned. I received three blows to the neck and I have damage to the cervical vertebra, I have injuries that are on the border between mild and severe injuries.
Check in the drawer
According to the teacher, after applying to the competition at the Lazarevac school, he learned from a person who worked at the high school that the news had spread among the secretaries that he had committed violent behavior against a minor, according to Telegraf.rs .
– The secretaries of all secondary schools have been informed that I have nothing to look for in the schools. Although it has not been proven, even if it is only stories and innuendo of children, no one has published it as a disclaimer. What happened in the high school was not accurately reported. Apparently there was a fight and he jumped out of the window, but that’s not true, I was attacked by students, says Zvonko Obradović.
As he says, whatever competition you apply for, they take your data and say that you will apply and everything remains the same. Since then, he has applied to enter a dozen contests. He says it is not a problem to change professions, but it is something he would not do of his own free will.
Several times they told me that I was incompetent
As he said earlier, when describing the incident, for the first time in his teaching career, the problems began when he began teaching that generation in the second year. As he said, some children need to be rebellious: they do not learn anything, they sleep in class, they are not interested in physics.
– I have had problems and arguments with some girls before. I was told several times that I was incompetent and did not know how to work, I told the director and we had several conversations on that subject. I tried to approach them and talk to them through an even weaker level of knowledge, to seek the minimum knowledge that they should know according to the plan and program, but nothing was worth it – said Professor Zvonko and stated that the problem It came up with the student who “did not do the unit control task either.”
You can’t do anything to me!
– He expressed his discontent through a hysterical scream, so I warned him saying that he could not behave like that, after which the student sat on the bench and turned her back on me. To my warnings, she responded with, “You are not a man, no authority when I can sit like this! You can’t do anything to me!” I led the student into a conversation with the principal, to which the girl stepped into my face and said, “Come on, throw me out if you can” and pinched me, then turned to get me kicked in the eyes. At that moment, in a state of madness, of which I have evidence from a psychiatrist, I slapped her, and soon the PP student got up and hit me three times on the head. Because of his beatings, the doctors claimed that the trauma had been suffered and put a collar on me, Professor Obradović told Telegraf.rs after the incident.
The students then threw him to the ground and continued to beat him while his back was turned to them.
They all “washed their hands”
– As a victim, I am the main culprit and everyone else washed their hands. I didn’t hurt anyone, they hurt me. Some students found out that I did not have a permanent job, so they wanted to provoke me to lose my job – says the physics teacher, who spent three years at the Seventh Gymnasium in Belgrade.
There is no place to start criminal proceedings
As Telegraf has learned from the First Basic Public Ministry, a report from the Ministry of the Interior on this fact was presented to this Public Ministry, for which a preliminary investigation procedure was carried out in which, after collecting the information and verifications necessary, the decision was made not to initiate criminal proceedings against any person. whose act is prosecuted ex officio.
The Ministry of Education did not request comment.
