After the arrest at the ministry, Nedimović said: Zero tolerance for corruption both now and when we persecuted similar ones three years ago.

In a statement to Alo.rs, Agriculture Minister Branislav Nedimović commented on the arrest of the international cooperation assistant who works in his ministry.

Nedimović says he advocates for zero tolerance when it comes to corruption.

– My comment on the arrest is: Zero tolerance for all attempts at corruption, which is shown even now and when we persecuted similar ones three years ago in agrarian payments. Support the fight of the Ministry of the Interior, the Prosecutor’s Office and other bodies against such phenomena – said Nedimović.

It should be remembered that by order of the Organized Crime Prosecutor’s Office, the Undersecretary of Agriculture DJN was arrested this afternoon on suspicion of having received a bribe, while DC was arrested on suspicion of bribing her.

It is suspected that DJN received a monthly fee from DC, promised benefits in advance for assistance in obtaining a contract in the public procurement procedure of the Ministry of Agriculture in the field of services, which is supported by a foreign fund for the financing of agriculture, the prosecution said.

It is added that DJN has been promised a payment of benefits of about 1,000 euros per month, for the next two years, while the execution of the public procurement contract lasts.
