Aleksandar Kostadinović (42), also known as Aca Tref, who was imprisoned for 13 years for complicity in the double murder at the “Tref rentakar” agency in 1998, and which was owned by the famous businessman Vlado Tref, was wounded on Wednesday around 11.40 pm at Miljakovac in Belgrade.
Unknown assailants fired six shots at Kostadinović at the entrance to the building where he lives.
Immediately prior to the shooting, Kostadinović received a phone call, after which he left the building.
– He spoke on the phone several times that day. Curses and insults echoed through the building. Twenty minutes before midnight, he received the last call, after which he left the apartment on the ground floor, where he lives with his sick mother. When he opened the door of the building, several attackers shot at him and then fled, Kurir’s source claims.
He adds that the injured Kostadinović managed to drive to the Military Medical Academy.
– He had six gunshot wounds, among other things, to his legs and genitals, and as he received help, he spoke to the police, but did not reveal much. He allegedly said that he had never seen anyone and had no idea who was behind the attack. Three arrest warrants were issued by the police and the prosecution for him – Adds the interlocutor.
The injured Kostadinović was recently released from his custody, where he has been since 2017 due to a kidnapping.
– He was released from a thirteen-year prison sentence in 2011, but continued to engage in murky activities – says a source in Kurir.
Kostadinovic stood out in 1998, when on the night of December 5 to 6, with Andrej Kovacevic, the son of the murdered businessman Vlado Tref, but also another accomplice, he went to a robbery of the agency “Tref rentakar”, which fell after the murder of Vlado Tref to his second wife, Bojana Bajrušević. It is presumed that Andrej was not satisfied with the division of the property, so he devised a hellish plan with two friends, Kostadinović and Filip Gavrilović.
Kovacevic used cashier Biljana Stanojkovic to enter the agency, because he had a magnetic card to open the door, and he killed guard Bratislav Dacic, when he knew him well, with a shot in the head. They allegedly took seven and a half million marks from the safe, and then took the cashier to Lake Garaško and killed her in cold blood. Kostadinović was sentenced to 13 years in prison for these crimes, and then the minor Andrej Kovačević to 10 years in prison. Filip Gavrilović went missing after the crime and nothing is known about him yet, while Andrej died in an accident in 2006.
