The Vojvodina Public Health Institute values the epidemiological situation as extraordinary with a greater tendency to worsen, since in the last 24 hours there have been 1,275 new cases of coronavirus infection in the province. The number of people infected with the corona virus in Vojvodina is 157 more than yesterday.
The Institute announced that the largest number of people infected with the corona virus, 459 of them, are in Novi Sad. At the moment, the epidemiological situation in the area of 35 municipalities of Vojvodina is assessed as extraordinary.
These are Novi Sad, Zrenjanin, Sremska Mitrovica, Pancevo, Kikinda, Subotica, Sombor, Backa Palanka, Vrsac, Bela Crkva, Beocin, Opovo, Zablja, Alibunar, Sremski Karlovci, Plandiste, Temerin, Kovacica, Kula, Indjija, Vrbascej , Irig, Kovin, Shida, Titel, Zitiste, Srbobran, Novi Becej, Nova Crnja, Novi Knezevac, Mali Idjos, Odzaci and Senta.
In other cities and municipalities of Vojvodina, according to the Institute, the epidemiological situation is extremely unfavorable with a tendency to worsen and turn into an emergency.
The Institute calls on the citizens of Vojvodina to behave responsibly and strictly adhere to all precautionary measures and instructions from the competent epidemiological services to reduce the consequences of the growth in the number of infected and allow the health system to function.
