The leader of the “Black and White” coalition, Dritan Abazović, spoke with the leaders of the Democratic Front, TV Vijesti learned.
The meeting was supposed to eliminate differences of attitude about the character of the future government, which, according to the agreement of the three coalitions, was conceived as an expert. In the DF there is some resistance in this regard, as reported by the media, so the objective of today’s talks between Andrija Mandic and Milan Knezevic and Abazovic was to overcome these disagreements, which, according to TV Vijesti, did not happen.
From sources from the three coalitions that should make up the majority in parliament in the future, TV Vijesti learns that efforts are being made to have at least the positions of head of parliament, president and deputy prime minister agreed before Wednesday , when the constitutive session of the Montenegrin Parliament is scheduled.
The “Black and White” coalition reportedly insists on agreeing to a somewhat broader package that would include the security sector.
On the other hand, it is feared that the non-election of the president of Parliament on Wednesday sends a message to the public about the lack of preparation and capacity for an effective agreement. This could be risky due to the fact that the appointment of prime ministers for the composition of the new government is postponed, for which the deadline is one month from the constitution of the Assembly.
If an agreement is reached according to which the Government will basically have an expert character, with the inevitability of politicians occupying certain positions, whose names are indisputable in the citizenship, on Wednesday the head of parliament could be elected. This function has been linked to the name of Aleksa Bečić in recent days, but sources from TV Vijesti point out that for now it is speculated that everything will be resolved within the package and that if the seat of the parliamentary spokesperson belongs to the Democrats, it could be one of officials. strangers, not Becic.
If an agreement is not reached by Wednesday, it could be reached in the next session of the Assembly, in seven or ten days.
The findings of TV Vijesti show that the Freedom of Religion Law was discussed, mediated by the Serbian Orthodox Church, and that this should not be a point of contention or future misunderstandings.
The only official position came today from the coalition “For the future of Montenegro”. They briefly told TV Vijesti that negotiations between the three coalitions are ongoing and that they believe in an outcome that will be in line with the expectations of the citizens.
