Snezana Filipovic, principal of the “Milka Dimanic” elementary school, when asked by Kurir why the nurse started working before the test results came, said that the employee tests were voluntary, according to the instructions of the Leskovac Institute of Public Health.

– We have decided that all employees, 80 of them, will be evaluated. On Monday, 43 of them started working, for which negative results came, while the rest stayed at home and waited for the results. The results were announced to us around 7.30, before we went to work, but that nurse was already at her workplace because she is working to receive the children her parents bring before. It was in the facility for 15 minutes, until the test results were announced. During that time, she had contact with a single child, less than a minute, as long as it took her to obtain documentation from a pediatrician that the child was healthy. Wearing full protective gear, including a visor, Filipović told Kurir, adding that the nurse had no symptoms of kovida-19, and that they respected all epidemiological measures.
He added that the employee immediately reported to the Health Center in Vlasotince, after which he was placed in isolation at home.
– After all, I spent 15 days with that woman while we were preparing kindergartens for work, and my result is negative. We currently have 17 children in two of our four kindergartens. There were five children in the facility where the nurse works on Monday, who continued to come and they are all in good condition, while in the other facility there are 12 children, she said, adding that it is unknown if the test results in DZ arrived on Monday morning or the afternoon before:
– If the latter is in question, then he could have been prevented from coming to work as a sister who has a covid.
The result came in the morning.
Dr. Milena Mitrović Stanković, director of DZ Vlasotince, tells Kurir that the test result for the kindergarten employee arrived on Monday morning, at 7 am, and that they immediately informed the management of the kindergarten, but also the employee himself who was positive:
– The results of the evaluated citizens, including the employees in the kindergarten, arrive at the so-called kovid base, which cannot open all the employees in the kindergarten, the head nurse has access and saw on Sunday night that the findings of the preschool workers began to arrive. They were negative. We reported all that before the kindergarten started to work. A positive result for the kindergarten admission nurse came on Monday morning, and we also immediately informed the authorities of the preschool. The nurse has no symptoms and is isolated at the competent kovid institution.

The 43 workers were evaluated and 42 were negative. In the morning, that positive result came with a slight delay of 15 minutes. I’m waiting for the report from the director who made the schedule. I will have all the details soon, and if she made a mistake, she will have the consequences. All workers received the necessary protective equipment, and there is a procedure on what to do if someone is found to be positive, Education Minister Mladen Šarčević said for Kurir.
He added that they had two infected educators in Majdanpek, and the launch of the institution was postponed there, as it is a small city and facility. In Zajecar, as one teacher said, she was aggressive, but before the kindergarten opened, the others were evaluated and everything is fine, everything works normally.
