As has been said, 146 patients are currently being treated in KCV, in whom it has been confirmed that they have contracted the coronavirus, and of that figure in eight patients, considering their current health status, the treatment requires the use of mechanical ventilation .
“We observed that in a large number of other hospitalized patients who have contracted the covid-19 virus, and given the severity of the clinical picture, in addition to other necessary therapy, intensive oxygen support is used,” the statement read.
The KCV called on the public to adhere to all preventive protection measures, which involves the use of protective masks, maintaining an adequate distance, regular hand washing and disinfection, as well as avoiding the concentration of a population older inside.
The Vojvodina Public Health Institute announced today that 535 new cases of coronavirus have been recorded in the province, with the highest number confirmed in Novi Sad: 169.
As stated, at this time 8,423 active cases have been registered, also the majority in Novi Sad: 2,614.
At the Institute, the epidemiological situation in AP Vojvodina in 36 municipalities and cities is still evaluated as extraordinary, while it is evaluated as unfavorable in the municipalities of Apatin, Titel, Beocin, Zitiste, Bac, Kanjiza, Backa Topola, Irig and Odzaci.
